Welcome to “Stillachtal” and a heartfelt “Grüß Gott” from our beautiful corner of the world. A place where you can be yourself and experiences matter. We aim to inspire invigorate and help our guests relax though mind and body. Here you can be who you are. Besides our special residence philosophy, we provide unique highlights which make your holiday memorable. Our house is located directly besides the “Fellhornbahn” within the “Stillachtal” valley. An ideal starting point for numerous hiking trails, forest paths, bike tours and of course in the winter, cross-country ski-tracks and a large alpine ski piste next to the residence.
Above all you will find one special commodity, silence. Silence within the symphony of nature. For this reason, we built a residential pavilion in 2016. This pavilion enables us to be responsive to any of your special dietary and/or yoga opportunities you may wish to participate in. Our 3*** residence is open to everyone, families, nature lovers, silence seekers, sports people, yoga fans and people who are interested in exploring alternative diets. We are all individuals with individual needs.

Nestled within the Stillachtal valley near the village of Oberstdorf in Bavaria, the Naturhof hotel is owned by the “Thaumiller” family. The deep rural roots form the ambience of this farm and Naturhof with its aged traditions and values set in a time of past and present.
Johannes Thaumiller grew up on the farm and gives distinction and meaning to the Naturhof with his unwavering commitment and “down to earth approach”. You could say that he is the “back bone” of the Naturhof. Johannes grew up in Stillachtal he knows the area like the back of his hand with an expert knowledge of the local mountains, walking paths and flora and fauna. Bio- sustainability and environmental eco systems are exceptionally important for Johannes and as an expert in his own right, he is pleased to pass on his deep found knowledge.
The local knowledge Johannes provides will reveal the hidden secrets of his corner of the Alps and is invaluable when planning hiking trips either through the canyon called “Breitachklamm” or on walking tours and he provides guided tours designed around your fitness and dietary needs.
Modern comfort meets rural charm. We offer individually bespoke rooms which connect modern comfort with rural charm. Every room provides a view of the mountains and the unique nature surrounding the Hotel. During the winter, cross country skiing tracks are a 2 minute walk away, as well as the large skiing and hiking area of Fellhorn/Kanzelwand.
Our rooms are currently divided into two categories. In the first category are the 2016 newly built comfort rooms which follow a holistic approach. The new rooms are equipped with up to date natural materials and “a space to breath” ethos. The traditional Stillachtal rooms are also made from wood with partly carpeted floors and offer an established retreat for your stay.

Nestled in the Allgäu Alps, Oberstdorf is known geographically as the western limestone alps and is located at Germany's southernmost point, on the edge of Iller Valley. It is a charming village depicted by a peaceful, unhurried lifestyle. Oberstdorf has a long history and deep set traditions. The sport of Nordic skiing with its world championships, as well as the famous ski flying world championships (1983, 1990,1998, 2008 and 2017), Nordic skiing world championships of 1987 and 2005 and the annual four hills ski jumping tournament.
Oberstdorf attracts guests and visitors from all over the world which does not detract from the atmosphere of one of Bavaria’s most beautiful villages. As well as strolling around the many typical Bavarian restaurants, the centre of Oberstdorf offers a variety of shopping, this may well be a temptation few can resist. Furthermore, Oberstdorf has won an award as a first class spa town and health resort with renovated old farm houses, guest houses and hotels making it a popular place for visitors.
The valley of Stillachtal – a silent and scenically unique hiking and skiing area. To get there by car you pass to the west of the town of Oberstdorf and drive along the side of the river Stillach, a tributary of the river “Iller”, passing through forests and the ski flying hill towards the Naturhof.
A silent valley surrounded by pure nature, lush meadows, majestic alpine peaks, a heaven full of stars and the scent of rural alpine life. As in the poem of Goethe: Here I am human, here can I be. A unique valley. Authentic and powerful, silent and lively, agitating and tangent.
