Rooms and Prices
Modern comfort meets rural charm. We offer individually bespoke rooms which connect modern comfort with rural charm. Every room provides a view of the mountains and the unique nature surrounding the Hotel. During the winter, cross country skiing tracks are a 2 minute walk away, as well as the large skiing and hiking area of Fellhorn/Kanzelwand.
Our rooms are currently divided into two categories. In the first category are the 2016 newly built comfort rooms which follow a holistic approach. The new rooms are equipped with up to date natural materials and “a space to breath” ethos. The traditional Stillachtal rooms are also made from wood with partly carpeted floors and offer an established retreat for your stay.
The origin of Naturhof Stillachtal
Nestled within the Stillachtal valley near the village of Oberstdorf in Bavaria, the Naturhof hotel is owned by the “Thaumiller” family. The deep rural roots form the ambience of this farm and Naturhof with its aged traditions and values set in a time of past and present. Johannes Thaumiller grew up on the farm and gives distinction and meaning to the Naturhof with his unwavering commitment and “down to earth approach”. You could say that he is the “back bone” of the Naturhof. Johannes grew up in Stillachtal he knows the area like the back of his hand with an expert knowledge of the local mountains, walking paths and flora and fauna. Bio- sustainability and environmental eco systems are exceptionally important for Johannes and as an expert in his own right, he is pleased to pass on his deep found knowledge. The local knowledge Johannes provides will reveal the hidden secrets of his corner of the Alps and is invaluable when planning hiking trips either through the canyon called “Breitachklamm” or on walking tours and he provides guided tours designed around your fitness and dietary needs.

Oberstdorf
Nestled in the Allgäu Alps, Oberstdorf is known geographically as the western limestone alps and is located at Germany's southernmost point, on the edge of Iller Valley. It is a charming village depicted by a peaceful, unhurried lifestyle. Oberstdorf has a long history and deep set traditions. The sport of Nordic skiing with its world championships, as well as the famous ski flying world championships (1983, 1990,1998, 2008 and 2017), Nordic skiing world championships of 1987 and 2005 and the annual four hills ski jumping tournament. Oberstdorf attracts guests and visitors from all over the world which does not detract from the atmosphere of one of Bavaria’s most beautiful villages. The Valley
Carved by a river, this is no ordinary valley, it embeds the silence within the natural atmosphere.
The valley of Stillachtal – a silent and scenically unique hiking and skiing area. To get there by car you pass to the west of the town of Oberstdorf and drive along the side of the river Stillach, a tributary of the river “Iller”, passing through forests and the ski flying hill towards the Naturhof.
"Stillachtal"
A silent valley surrounded by pure nature, lush meadows, majestic alpine peaks, a heaven full of stars and the scent of rural alpine life. As in the poem of Goethe: Here I am human, here can I be. A unique valley. Authentic and powerful, silent and lively, agitating and tangent.
Nature is a unique source of energy, which inspires, gives power and surrounds us with peace. In our hectic and “time dictated” world it is for these moments nature always provides us with space and time. We offer these moments to you, here with us in the “Stillachtal” valley.
